GCE L2 Units 1 & 2 Reflection

The focus of Unit 1 on peer collaboration and professional development was a great reminder that we can be more intentional about sharing our best practices with our coworkers. Often we look to coaches and trainers to take on the burden of professional development, but it's true that much of what I've learned and implemented in my classroom has come from my colleagues sharing ideas and collaborating together. Introduction

Hello! My name is Bridget Pyle and I teach high school English at Black River Public School. This year I am teaching English 12 and AP English Literature and Composition. I took the Level 1 course this past summer, in part to prepare for having to teach hybrid or online this year. I thought I knew quite a bit about G Suite for Education before taking Level 1, but I was wrong! Level 1 helped me face the uncertainties of this school year with more confidence than I would have otherwise, and has allowed me to give students a better learning experience during these crazy times. I am excited to take Level 2 because I know there is still so much to learn, and I want to be able to better integrate technology into my curriculum. If 2020 has taught me anything, it's that technology is more important than ever. I want to be able to help my students find success integrating tech into their education.
